Virgen del Pilar Festivities 2026 in Las Lajas (Icod de los Vinos)
The Las Lajas neighbourhood of Icod de los Vinos celebrates its festivities in honour of the Virgen del Pilar from 3 to 13 October. The programme published by the Comisión Las Lajas 2026 includes the search for the Rama, street decorating, a foam party and a Noche de blanco, a romería with parrandas on Saturday 10, Mass, procession and fireworks on Sunday 11, a variety show on Monday 12 and the flag handover with a dance on Tuesday 13.
Las Lajas, a neighbourhood of the municipality of Icod de los Vinos in the north of Tenerife, celebrates its Virgen del Pilar Festivities 2026 from Saturday 3 to Tuesday 13 October. The programme is published by the Comisión Las Lajas 2026 on its Facebook page and combines religious events with a romería, music, games and activities for the whole neighbourhood. Friday 9: 19:30 proclamation of the child Romero and Romera with the Raíces del Pilar show; 21:30 to 02:00 Noche de blanco with Grupo Majao and Lass Dj. Saturday 10: 10:00 bouncy castles; 11:00 singles versus married match (Llanito Perera); 18:00 romería starting at the Las Lajas roundabout, with a dance by Los Volcánicos on arrival at the square. Sunday 11: 10:00 Canarian workshops and games, old toy cars and an exhibition of Canarian traditions; 15:00 finals of the ludoteca, envite and dominoes tournaments; 15:30 tortilla contest; 19:30 Mass in honour of the Virgen del Pilar, procession and fireworks; 22:00 dance with GeneraciónZero. Monday 12: Mass in honour of the Virgen del Pilar with the folk group, the usual route with the Banda Musical Trompetas y Tambores Hermandad del Calvario and an Ave María sung by Raquel (the programme gives no time); 17:30 variety show. Tuesday 13: 19:30 handover of the flag to the incoming committee, pelana (a local festive meal) and a dance with GeneraciónZero.
