Fiestas of the Virgen del Buen Viaje in El Tanque: popular verbena on the 29th and main feast day on the 31st.
El Tanque honours Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje, its patron. On 29 August there is an afternoon and evening of music and community activities organised by the fiesta committee, and the 31st is the main day, a public holiday in the municipality, with solemn mass and procession.
El Tanque lies in the Isla Baja district, between Garachico and Los Silos, in upland country with sea views.
