Virgen de Coromoto festivities 2026 in Barrio Nuevo, El Tanqueverified
Five days of festivities in Barrio Nuevo, El Tanque, with folk music, a parade, fireworks, a procession and dances.
From 9 to 13 September, the Barrio Nuevo neighbourhood in El Tanque holds its festivities in honour of the Virgen de Coromoto.
Wednesday 9: 6pm singles vs married football match.
Thursday 10: 6am dawn parade; 10am the Fantasy sound and lighting rig arrives; 4pm cultural rally; 8pm folk festival with Aires del Tanque, Cumbres de Erjos and Manolo, a neighbour of the village.
Friday 11: background music from 10am; 4pm envite and dominoes tournament; 7pm parade with the Ritmo Batukeiro drum band; 10.30pm Gran Noche de Fiesta Barrio Nuevo 26 on the Plaza del Barrio Nuevo, with Arodi Llanos, Orquesta Grupo Saoco and DJ Chagüi.
Saturday 12: 11am bouncy castles; 1.30pm foam party at the Las Eras sports centre; 5pm children's festival with the Magic Dance troupe and Güicho, hosted by Chiara Lorenzo, ending with the libreas dance; 8.30pm Rosary; 9pm mass led by parish priest Silvestre Gorrín Rivero, procession with fireworks by Piromart, the Ave María sung by Javier Linares, and dancing with Arguayo Band and Generación Zero.
Sunday 13: 4pm mass and procession, with a shower of rockets on arrival at the square and the Aleluya sung by Nataly La Voz de México; then a variety show with Nataly La Voz de México, magician David Borrás and El Humor de Chano y Carmen Rosa, hosted by Iván García; trophies and the handover of the flag to the 2027 committee, and a closing dance with the band Acontratiempo.
