Fiestas de La Piñera 2026 en honor a Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria
Four neighbourhood days: paella, a children's festival, a procession with fireworks and a drag gala.
La Piñera holds its fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria from 14 to 17 August. Friday the 14th opens at 10:00, with children's games from 11:00 to 13:00, a surprise lunch at 14:00, a 360 photo booth from 17:00 to 19:00 and a dance with Teide Swing from 21:00 to 01:00. Saturday the 15th, Candelaria's day, brings a pericones card tournament at 10:00, children's games, a large paella at 14:00, the children's festival at 17:00 with Alegría y sus muñecos, dances by the neighbourhood's children, Back to Dance and Gravity Duo, a surprise at 19:00 and a dance with the A Contratiempo orchestra from 21:00 to 02:00. Sunday the 16th has traditional games and a wheelbarrow gymkhana at 11:00, lunch at 13:30, and at 18:00 mass with Father Rubén followed by the procession along its usual route with the Francis bugle and drum band from Puerto de la Cruz; on reaching the square, a fireworks display by Pirotecnia La Perdoma. At 21:00, a drag queen and transformista gala hosted by Yasmina Hernández, with Dynamitas, the duo Luna Nueva and Back to Dance. Monday the 17th closes with Children's Day at 11:00, a big shared meal at 14:00, the handover of the bouquet to next year's committee at 18:00 and a dance with Teide Swing.
