Fiesta de La Morena de Tazacorte 2026verified

Every 15 August the beach of Puerto de Tazacorte turns into a water party. Two large figures, La Morena and a sea creature, dance across the sand among the crowd while spraying it with jets and hoses. The celebration pays tribute to the women who once sold fish through the village, caught by their husbands, and a street parade recreates that old trade. Several orchestras, live music and DJ sets keep the day going.

It starts at midday and runs until ten or eleven at night, on the beach of Puerto de Tazacorte, on La Palma. People turn up in beachwear, because nobody stays dry, and inflatable boats are part of the scene out in the water.
