FIC Gáldar 2026 · 14th Gáldar International Film Festival
From 10 to 17 October, Gáldar hosts the fourteenth Gáldar International Film Festival. At the Centro Cultural Guaires, the works competing for the Official Section awards and the titles of this edition's retrospective are screened, with free entry until the venue is full. Guests include Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, this edition's Guayarmina de Honor, Carlos Latre, host of the closing gala, Antonio Pagudo and Melani Olivares.
The Gáldar International Film Festival, FIC Gáldar, reaches its fourteenth edition from 10 to 17 October. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is this edition's Guayarmina de Honor and Carlos Latre hosts the closing gala; guests also include Antonio Pagudo, who gives a workshop on gesture in front of the camera, Melani Olivares, and Raúl Peña and Kimberley Tell, jury members in the official sections. On Tuesday 13 October the Gran Canaria Film Commission holds the round table “Oportunidades profesionales y empresariales en el sector audiovisual en Gran Canaria”, and on Wednesday 14 October technician and filmmaker Roberto Álvarez leads the Taller Cinedfest workshop.
From Saturday 10 October 2026 the Centro Cultural Guaires hosts the screenings of the Official Sections and the retrospective, with free entry until the venue is full. That Saturday at 19:30 there is a special screening of “Las Meleguinas” by Gustavo Socorro (40 minutes, 2026). On Sunday 11 October “Charlie Chan va a los Juegos Olímpicos” screens at 11:00 and “Olympia” at 12:15; on Monday 12 October “Carros de fuego” follows at 17:30 and, at 19:45, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi's “All of a Sudden” in the Official Section.
