Festividad de San Luis Rey de Francia: eucaristía, procesión y reparto de las rosasverified
The liturgical day of Saint Louis is marked with Mass, a procession through El Calvario, a musical offering, fireworks and the handing out of the San Luis roses.
25 August is the liturgical day of Saint Louis, King of France, who died on 25 August 1270. The day begins at 7:00 with the salutes of honour in memory of Antonio el Negro.
At 19:30 the Rosary is said in the chapel and the solemn concelebrated Mass is held. The procession then goes around the Casona de San Luis, La Barriada and El Calvario, accompanied by the AMC Ernesto Beteta band. On arrival there is a musical offering and fireworks.
As the saint enters his chapel the San Luis roses are handed out and a toast is raised, and DJ Christian provides the music for the verbena.
