Third age festival with Atahona and La Limeraverified
On Tuesday 15 September at 18:00 the San José district holds the third age festival of the Fiestas de San José 2026. The Agrupación Folklórica Atahona, the Parranda La Limera, the Parranda Familia Los Alzados and Manuel Dorta perform, with Iván García Dorta as host. The programme devotes the whole of Tuesday to the older people of the district. The parranda is the popular Canarian ensemble par excellence: timple, guitar and voices with traditional repertoire.

The official programme titles the day as a day devoted to our elders, and the festival is its main act. The parranda is the popular Canarian ensemble par excellence: timple, guitar and voices playing traditional repertoire without a fixed stage. Tuesday continues with the great merienda in the evening and ends at night with the VI Festival Timcua in the Plaza de San José.
