Festival de Fado de Canarias - Camanéverified
The Festival de Fado de Canarias brings the fado singer Camané to the Teatro Leal in La Laguna. His career includes the Premio Tenco in 2017, the project Aqui Está-se Sossegado with pianist Mário Laginha, a number one in the Portuguese charts, and a tribute concert to José Mário Branco recorded at the Centro Cultural de Belém in 2024. Sunday 18 October 2026, 19:00.
Emotion, tradition enriched with just the right dose of risk, and versatility: that is how the Festival de Fado de Canarias introduces Camané, who performs at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna. His repertoire includes songs such as Sei de um Rio, A Complicadíssima Teia, A Guerra das Rosas, Ela Tinha Uma Amiga and Senhora do Livramento. After reaching number one in the sales charts with Infinito Presente in 2015, he paid homage to Alfredo Marceneiro with Camané Canta Marceneiro. In August 2017 he received the Premio Tenco alongside Vinicio Capossela and Massimo Ranieri, and in 2019 he released Aqui Está-se Sossegado with pianist Mário Laginha, a number one in Portugal that won Best Album and Best Fado Album at the Play awards. His tribute concert to José Mário Branco at the Centro Cultural de Belém, recorded in early 2024, brought another Play award for Best Fado Album and his second Latin Grammy nomination.
Seating is numbered, with tickets from €20 on tickety. Seats for people with reduced mobility are sold at the Teatro Leal box office, in person or by phone (922 265 433); on Sundays the box office opens two hours before the performance. The concert is on Sunday 18 October 2026 at 19:00.
