The La Laguna Book Fair 2026 takes place in Plaza del Cristo in San Cristóbal de La Laguna with 50 exhibitors, among them 30 bookshops and 20 publishers and other organisations, which the organisers describe as the largest bookseller turnout of the last 15 years. Bookshops from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria join for the first time. The fair is organised by La Laguna City Council and APROLITE, the provincial booksellers' association of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, together with the Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural, the Directorate General for Commerce and the Cabildo de Tenerife, and it belongs to the Red Nacional de Ferias del Libro, the national network of book fairs.
From Thursday 8 to Monday 12 October 2026 the fair offers more than 200 activities: book presentations, meet-the-author sessions, round tables, workshops, activities for children and teenagers, comics, illustration, poetry and fanzines. The more than 80 participants include Alicia Llarena, Cecilia Domínguez Luis, José Miguel Perera, Pedro Flores, Santiago Gil, Víctor Álamo de la Rosa, Andrea Abreu, Helena Resano, Manuel Vilas, Nerea Pérez de las Heras, Pol Guasch, Lana Corujo, Rayco Pulido, Aida González Rossi and Angelo Nestore. The new initiative “El libro de tu vida” revolves around questions such as which book people remember from childhood or which one they would give to someone close. The times for each day are listed in the fair programme.
