Festival Boreal extension in Imada: Agro-Arte fair, traditional craft workshops and Salto del Pastorverified
On Sunday 4 October, the Plaza de Imada in Alajeró (La Gomera) hosts a Festival Boreal extension devoted to crafts and traditions. The Agro-Arte fair runs from 10:00 to 16:00, and the morning brings workshops on cane and pirgüan basketry, palm and ristra weaving, beekeeping, plus a traditional pottery demonstration. At 12:30 there is a Salto del Pastor display. Free entry.
Festival Boreal comes to Alajeró with a new extension on La Gomera: a day in the Plaza de Imada devoted to crafts, traditions, folk knowledge and music. The Agro-Arte fair fills the square from 10:00 to 16:00, alongside a run of workshops and displays: traditional cane and pirgüan basketry with Heraclio Arzola Hernández (10:30), palm and ristra weaving with Dolores Padrón Herrera (11:00), beekeeping with José Miguel Arzola Santos of Apícola Jirdan (11:30), and a traditional pottery demonstration by Alfarería Arerú (12:00 to 13:00).
Sunday 4 October 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00. At 12:30 the Colectivo La Juria gives a Salto del Pastor display, coming down from the summit above Imada to the square. The afternoon concerts start at 13:00. Entry is free.
