The Las Candelas music band turns 50, and Candelaria marks it with an exhibition you do not have to go inside to see: it is outdoors, on the exterior of the Cine Viejo, and you can walk past it at any hour throughout the Patrona fiestas.
It is the companion piece to the «A orillas del mar» concert on Friday the 7th, where the band plays alongside violinist Ara Malikian.
One practical note: the official programme says «for the whole of the fiestas» without giving exact dates; the fiestas open with the pregón on 5 August and close on the 16th. Outside that window it may already have been taken down.
