“Exhumar” – Francisco Medina (Teatro Niño Proletario), performance lectureverified

Culture · Gratis

A performance lecture by Chilean artist and researcher Francisco Medina of Teatro Niño Proletario at the Espacio Cultural El Secadero in Los Llanos de Aridane. “Exhumar” sets out an artistic and archaeological search for fragments of the Palacio de La Moneda after the bombing of 11 September 1973, a project that crosses archaeology and art. It comes to La Palma through the Bonita Lab project. Free entry.

Where is the rubble of the bombed La Moneda? That question is the starting point of “Exhumar”, the artistic and archaeological project that Chilean artist and researcher Francisco Medina of Teatro Niño Proletario presents as a performance lecture. The piece sets out the search for fragments of the La Moneda building after the bombing of 11 September 1973, through the excavation and survey of a residential plot where rubble from the palace was supposedly buried. Before reaching the stage, the work was a visual arts exhibition at the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda and a podcast on the programme Radio Ambulante.

Teatro Niño Proletario is a Chilean centre for artistic research and creation with 21 years of work behind it, and it returns to La Palma this October through the Bonita Lab project. “Exhumar” is presented at the Espacio Cultural El Secadero on Calle Rosal in Los Llanos de Aridane, with free entry. Thursday 8 October 2026, at 20:00.
