Canarian wrestling display with the San Blas Wrestling Clubverified

Canarian wrestling is the traditional sport of the archipelago: two wrestlers in a sand ring, and the winner is the one who makes the other touch the ground with anything other than the feet. At 18:30 the San Blas Wrestling Club brings a display to La Salemera, with wrestlers from different categories. For a visitor it is the easiest chance to see a bout up close without travelling to a covered ring.

Practical note from the programme: on Saturday 19 September the road is closed at 10:15 and at 14:55 for the 51st Rallye La Palma Isla Bonita, so allow extra time to reach La Salemera.
