Solemn Mass and procession of the Virgen del Rosarioverified

From 18 September to 13 October 2026 Agüimes holds its Fiestas del Rosario, with a programme of pilgrimages, concerts, religious ceremonies and farming traditions spread across the old town.
On Sunday 4 October at 11:30 the solemn Mass is celebrated by bishop José Mazuelos Pérez, with the Mass setting by A.F. Los Argones. The prize-winning animals are then presented and the procession of the Virgin, Saint Dominic de Guzmán and Saint Vincent Ferrer sets off, accompanied by the La Salle music group and majorettes and the municipal band of Agüimes. Women who wish to may take part wearing the Canarian mantilla, available on request from the La Salle association.
