Mass sung by the Achamán group and procession of the Cristo through the townverified
The evening Mass of the main day is sung in the forecourt of the Real Santuario by the Achamán group, and afterwards the procession of the Venerated Image sets out through the main streets of the town. It is the most crowded procession of the fiestas and the one that closes the Día del Cristo before the fireworks.
On Monday 14 September 2026 at 19:00 a Mass sung by the Achamán group is celebrated in the forecourt of the Real Santuario, and afterwards the procession of the Venerated Image of the Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna sets out through the main streets of the town.
It is the central act of the evening on the main day and the best-attended of the whole programme. It is watched from the street and there is no ticket. If you are coming from outside, bear two things in mind: it is an act of worship before it is a spectacle, and the historic centre fills up, so parking anywhere near it that day is practically impossible. At 23:00 the Risco fireworks close the day.
