On Thursday 1 October 2026 at 17:00, the Adrián Alemán de Armas municipal library on Calle Juan de Vera in La Laguna hosts the first of this year's two sessions of the Women Composers' Meeting. It brings together Jenny Peña, who wrote the piece the festival commissioned for its closing concert, and Canarian composer Candelaria Dorta, with María del Ser of Radio Clásica as moderator.
The Women Composers' Meetings are a space for conversation between composers, performers and audience, and continue the festival's commitment to music written by women.
It is part of the Classical Laguna Experience (CLE) festival, whose 7th edition runs from 22 September to 4 October 2026 on La Gomera, Gran Canaria and Tenerife and is devoted to Canarian and Latin American classical music. Cuba is this year's guest country.
