The second of the two screenings that CIC El Almacén gives to El sonido de la caída, written and directed by Mascha Schilinski, as part of the Cabildo de Lanzarote cultural programme. It follows four girls living decades apart, Alma, Erika, Angelika and Lenka, who each grow up on the same farm in northern Germany. Tickets cost 3 euros and the film is recommended for viewers over 16.
Alma, Erika, Angelika and Lenka spend their teenage years on the same farm in northern Germany, separated from one another by whole decades. The house keeps changing as the years pass, yet the echo of the past still sounds between the old walls, and the four lives end up mirroring each other. Mascha Schilinski is both director and writer; the cast includes Hanna Heckt, Lena Urzendowsky, Laeni Geiseler, Susanne Wuest and Lea Drinda.
This is the second of the two scheduled screenings: the film is shown the evening before and then repeated the next day, so anyone who missed the first session gets another chance here. The venue is on calle José Betancort, 33, in the centre of Arrecife, and the programme is run by the Cabildo de Lanzarote. Tickets are 3 euros through the official advance sales site, and the screening is recommended for viewers aged 16 and over.
