El Rey Zolitoverified

Culture · Gratis

The Teatro de Morro Jable hosts El Rey Zolito, the story of a king with a peculiar temper who argues endlessly with the people of his kingdom: farmhands, shepherds, scribes, ministers, soldiers. His intransigence and his failure to understand cause a great many injustices, but none of it matters to him, because he can do exactly as he pleases, since he is the king.

El Rey Zolito tells the story of a king with a peculiar temper, forever arguing with the people of his kingdom: farmhands, shepherds, scribes, ministers, soldiers. His intransigence and his failure to understand caused a great many injustices, but none of it mattered to him, because he could do exactly as he pleased, since he was the king.

In this way King Zolito turns his castle and his kingdom into a lonely, sad world, though that does not matter either, because he is able to invent a whole imaginary world in which everything exists and nothing has changed, even if he is the only inhabitant of his realm. How the story ends is seen at the Teatro de Morro Jable, in the Estación de Guaguas de Morro Jable building, on Fuerteventura.
