El mundo del revés: a tribute to Inside Outverified
On the night of her birthday, Julia is given a mysterious chest by her family, along with a map showing where the key to open it is hidden. The magic of that map takes her on a journey through the Land of emotions, accompanied by Joy, Fear, Disgust, Anger and Sadness, who show her what each of them is for and how to handle them. Staged at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna.
The premise is simple and works well with a family audience: a sealed present, a missing key and a map that only reveals itself to someone willing to follow it. From there, Julia's journey stops being geographical and turns inward.
Each emotion appears as a character with a voice of its own, and none is left out. Fear, disgust and anger have their place just as much as joy, and sadness stops being the one nobody wants. The show, an avowed tribute to Inside Out, uses that cast to make a simple point: emotions do not split into good and bad, each one does a job. Tickets are on sale, and accessible seating is arranged through the theatre box office.
