Neighbourhood Day 2026 «Construyendo el Puerto desde nuestros barrios» on the Plaza del Charcoverified
Puerto de la Cruz town council holds its Neighbourhood Day 2026 on the Plaza del Charco on Sunday 4 October, from 11:00 to 18:00, under the motto «Construyendo el Puerto desde nuestros barrios». The annual gathering of the local residents' associations brings violins, Tajaraste, neighbourhood dance groups, the Guaraní batucada and a sign language workshop, plus a children's play area, pottery, exhibitions and games.
Neighbourhood Day is the annual gathering of the residents' associations of Puerto de la Cruz, and in 2026 the town council holds it on the Plaza del Charco under the motto «Construyendo el Puerto desde nuestros barrios». The day brings music, dances by the associations, a batucada, a sign language workshop, a children's play area, participatory games and activities, exhibitions, a pottery workshop and spaces for neighbours to meet.

Programme: 11:00 welcome; 11:15 violins from the Orquesta de Cuerdas Puerto de la Cruz - La Vera; 12:00 Tajaraste performance «Retumbo»; 13:00 dance groups of the residents' associations; 16:00 parade of the Batucada Guaraní from Punta del Viento, and 16:30 its performance on the square; 17:00 introduction to sign language with the Asociación Vecinal El Veril; 18:00 close. Children's play area from 11:00 to 14:00.
