Elders' Day: Benijos Folk Festivalverified
Benijos devotes Wednesday to its elders with a folk festival featuring Rondalla Nunca es Tarde, Parranda Las Llanadas, Grupo Los DĂłniz and Grupo Musical Renace. Afterwards a large paella is shared with the whole neighbourhood. AarĂłn GonzĂĄlez presents, and Grupo Musical Renace is the former Orquesta Marakay. The programme gives no time for the paella, only that it is served once the festival ends.
Within the Benijos fiestas, Wednesday is the elders' day. The folk festival brings together four groups from the district: Rondalla Nunca es Tarde, Parranda Las Llanadas, Grupo Los DĂłniz and Grupo Musical Renace, formerly known as Orquesta Marakay. AarĂłn GonzĂĄlez presents.
The festival starts at 16:30. Afterwards a large paella is served for the whole neighbourhood, prepared by BalcĂłn de Higa. The programme gives no time for the paella, only that it follows the festival, so it is worth allowing for a long afternoon.
