Day of the Virgen de Guadalupe: mass and procession at the Ermita de Puntallanaverified
On Monday 5 October at 12:00, the Ermita de Puntallana holds the mass and procession of the Virgen de Guadalupe, Patrona de La Gomera, the religious high point of the Fiestas de Octubre 2026. The town council offers free transport with three departures from the Estación de Guaguas bus station, at 09:30, 10:00 and 10:30. Seats must be requested by 1 October at the Centro Juvenil, with priority for people with reduced mobility.
Monday 5 October is the day of the Virgen de Guadalupe, Patrona de La Gomera, and at 12:00 mass and procession are held at the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Puntallana. It is the central religious moment of the Fiestas de Octubre 2026, organised by the Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián de La Gomera in collaboration with the Cabildo Insular.
Because Puntallana is difficult to reach, the town council once again offers free transport, reinforced this year with three departures from the Estación de Guaguas bus station at 09:30, 10:00 and 10:30. Seats must be requested by 1 October at the Centro Juvenil, and people with reduced mobility get special priority. The programme does not give the route of the procession.
