Danza en breve: Ser pastoraverified
The Danza en breve series comes to the Teatro Leal with Ser pastora, a contemporary dance piece about a woman who, after a breakup, decides to buy herself a flock.
Ser pastora is built as the story of a woman whose heart has never been broken and who, after her last breakup, decides to buy a flock. That emotional shift takes shape in a cry echoing off the mountains, in a body learning to feed itself with its own hands, to get wet in cold water and to dry under the stars.
The piece frames the process as a transhumance in which everything is in motion: the shepherdess's voice runs from the earliest eclogues to the shepherdess of today and to Pastora Marcela, and the space transforms as the work advances. Dramaturgy by Julio León and Laura Morales, with stage design by Julia Rodríguez and Fran Pérez. The performance is part of the Teatro Leal's Danza en breve series.
