Educational concert: Julia Rodríguez - "La voz: creatividad y tradición"verified
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Julia Rodríguez, from Fuerteventura, gives the educational concert ‘La voz: creatividad y tradición’, with a selection of songs from her first album, ‘Hacia la vida’, in which the musical tradition of the Canary Islands meets contemporary languages and sensibilities. Through her songs she shares the creative process behind her artistic identity. Ages 14 and up, 90 minutes. Tickets cost 4 to 5 euros.
Performing her own compositions, Julia Rodríguez reflects on how musical heritage, personal experience and the search for a voice of one’s own can live together in a single project. It is an encounter in which music and words come together to trace the path between roots and creation.
Born in Fuerteventura, she studied jazz singing at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, flute at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and timple at the Escuela Insular de Música de Fuerteventura. Tickets cost between 4 and 5 euros. The concert is at Teatro Guiniguada in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on Thursday 15 October 2026 at 18:00.
