The San Rafael en Corto short film showcase is committed to making and spreading Canarian cinema, and in this session, titled “Migrar es un derecho”, the shorts that make up the award list of its latest edition come to Fuerteventura. After the screenings there is a meeting with Bright Martins, a 23-year-old filmmaker and creative director with Nigerian roots, born in the Canary Islands. His work is shaped by the link between his mother's story, his African identity and the country he grew up in, and he sets out to make documentary film as a bridge between cultures, showing perspectives rooted in lived experience.
The venue is the Auditorio Insular de Fuerteventura on Calle Ramiro de Maeztu in Puerto del Rosario. Admission is free, but a ticket has to be obtained in advance. Wednesday 14 October 2026, at 19:00.
