Opening Parade of the El Socorro Fiestasverified

It sets off from the Plaza del Socorro and drives through the districts of the municipality of Tegueste and their surroundings, announcing the start of twelve days of programme in the neighbourhood.
On Wednesday 23 September 2026 at 19:30 the opening parade of the fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora del Socorro sets off from the Plaza del Socorro. The route is driven by car through the different districts of the municipality of Tegueste and their surroundings, the traditional way of letting the neighbourhood know the programme has begun.
This is the first date on a twelve-day calendar that the Comisión de Fiestas de El Socorro 2026 runs through to Sunday 4 October, with one further weekend added on Saturday the 10th. The year also has a particular reason behind it: the commission is celebrating its twinning with the neighbouring district of El Socorro in the municipality of Breña Baja, on La Palma.
