“Arahal. Un lugar donde descansar” is the show the Pieles company premiered in January 2026 as part of #EnParalelo at the 42nd Festival de Música de Canarias. Percussion, voice, stone, seed and silences merge into an ancestral chant that connects the Canary Islands, North Africa and the Sephardic legacy, while the piece explores the shared roots and musical inheritances the islands absorbed from Amazigh and Sephardic cultures. Pieles is a stage and music project born in the Canary Islands that researches, reinterprets and projects cultural heritage from a contemporary perspective, between tradition and creation.
The performance takes place on Friday 9 October 2026 at 20:00 at Espacio La Granja, in Parque La Granja, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is one of the dates in the company’s October programme, which Pieles has announced as a month full of encounters.
