aaAhh BIBI - Compagnie La Liberté (FIC 2026)verified
aaAhh BIBI by Compagnie La Liberté comes to Plaza del Príncipe in Santa Cruz de Tenerife as part of the Festival Internacional Clownbaret (FIC) 2026. Julien Cottereau, clown, mime and sound maker, unfolds a silent ballet with his character BIBI, built only from gestures, sounds and emotion. For all ages, in the first of two evening shows: Sunday 11 October 2026 at 19:00.
Julien Cottereau trained at ENSATT and in 1993 joined Cirque du Soleil as a clown-mime in Saltimbanco, playing more than 1,500 shows across Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. In 2002 he joined Clowns Without Borders, and in 2005 he created his first solo show, Imagine-toi, which won him the Molière Award for male newcomer in theatre.
In aaAhh BIBI, with or without a red nose, Cottereau opens up an idealistic, absurd circus paraded by eccentric performers, fearful acrobats, lovesick tightrope walkers and untameable animals, in a wordless world where time and logic become elastic. It is suitable for all ages. There is a second show the same night at 21:30. This one is in Plaza del Príncipe on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 19:00.
