The Romería de La Esperanza reaches its 50th edition. It sets off at 12:30 on 2 August, followed by a big afternoon verbena at 16:00.
In 2026 the Romería de La Esperanza reaches its fiftieth edition, one of the oldest in north-eastern Tenerife. The procession sets off at 12:30 on Sunday 2 August and winds through the centre of La Esperanza with decorated carts, parranda bands and traditional dress.
At 16:00 the big afternoon verbena begins, with the orchestras Wamampy and Acapulco. The evening before, on 1 August, there is a solemn procession of the Virgin of La Esperanza at 18:30 and a verbena at 22:00.
This year's edition is dedicated to La Gomera.
