37th Teresa de Bolívar Gathering: first eveningverified
The first of the two Teresa de Bolívar evenings, on the square by the basilica: two Canarian musicians who also build their own instruments, and Colombia's Katie James.
The Teresa de Bolívar Popular Music Gathering reaches its 37th edition and is spread over two nights. The first, on Friday 11 September, starts at 20:00 in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pino, the square by the basilica.
Joaquín Sánchez and Adán Moreno perform, two musicians who also build the instruments they play, alongside the Colombian singer Katie James. It is a small, listening-oriented bill, different in character from the second night.
Entry is free.
One practical detail worth noting: the two evenings are NOT in the same place. On Saturday the 12th the gathering moves to the Plaza de Sintes, about a hundred metres away. Anyone going both days has to change square.
