37th Teresa de Bolívar Gathering: Lila Downs and the 2nd Romería del Timpleverified
The big night of the Teresa de Bolívar: first a romería of timple players along the Calle Real, then ContraVentura and the headline concert by Mexico's Lila Downs.
Saturday is the big night of the Teresa de Bolívar, and it starts in the street. At 19:00 the 2nd Romería del Timple sets off along Teror's Calle Real to the tune of "De Tenderete". It is a romería of timple players, promoted by the Fundación Canaria Nanino Díaz Cutillas: instead of ox-carts, timples.
At 20:00, now in the Plaza de Sintes, the Canarian quartet ContraVentura performs, made up of René Falcón, Marce Bonde, Acaymo Delgado and David "El Majorero".
At 21:30, on the same stage, comes the headline concert: Mexico's Lila Downs.
All of it is free.
Watch out for the change of square: the first evening, on Friday the 11th, is in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pino, not here.
