31 MASDANZA: Certamen Coreográfico y de Solosverified

The Teatro Pérez Galdós hosts the Choreographic competition and the Solo competition of the 31st MASDANZA, the International Contemporary Dance Festival of the Canary Islands. According to the theatre, both competitions are a reference point on the international contemporary dance scene and receive high-level entries every year, with pieces by established choreographers alongside emerging creators. The festival was founded in 1996 by the dancer and choreographer Natalia Medina, and in 2019 it received the EFFE quality label from the European Festivals Association.
The two performances take place on 15 and 16 October 2026, both at 20:00, in the main hall of the Teatro Pérez Galdós, Plaza Stagno 1, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Each performance lasts roughly 60 minutes with an interval, and doors open 45 minutes before the start. Tickets are sold through the theatre's online box office. The 31st edition of MASDANZA runs from 1 to 24 October 2026 at various venues across the Canary Islands.
